Lithological description Alternation of sandstone, silstone, shale and bioclastic limestone arranged in cycles, the limestone becomes prominent upwards.
Age Latest Famennian (Strunian)
Thickness 70 m in the type area, increasing southwards.
Area of occurrence Dinant Synclinorium and Vesdre area, absent or reduced in the Haine-Sambre-Meuse Overturned Thrust sheets.
Type locality The historical section along the road between Esneux and Comblain-au-Pont is particularily overgrown. Sections in Chanxhe provide a good alternative.
