Lithological description Shale and siltstone, often carbonate or bioclastic, with sandstone in the lower part, richer in limestone upwards, with hectometric lenses of light-grey bioclastic limestone in the upper part.
Age Upper Eifelian
Thickness Up to 350 m.
Area of occurrence Southern and south-eastern limbs of the Dinant Synclinorium between Trélon (France) and Ferrières. The members are variously developed.
Type locality Composite section including the Jemelle–Forrières road section near the Jemelle train station and the trench of the Jemelle–Rochefort disused railway.
