Lithological description A first unit of sandy limestone and dolostone with often a thin conglomeratic horizon at the base, passing to coarse-grained dolostone (irregularly dolomitized fossiliferous limestone) and capped by a more shaly unit.
Age Early Frasnian
Thickness 80-90 m in the type area
Area of occurrence Brabant Parautochthon, from the Dendre River to the Mehaigne River valley.
Type locality The historical outcrops of the Bovesse area have disappeared long ago. Parastratotypes have been selected for each member in the Mehaigne River valley.
