Abbreviation HAR
Parent unit Haine Green Sandstone Group

Lithological description Alternation of “spongolites”, phosphatic conglomerates and glauconitic sands. Marine fauna is very poorly preserved.
Age In the basal part of the Formation, Actinoceramus concentricus and A. sulcatus co-occur, which are characteristic of the base of the Late Albian.
Thickness 52 m in the Harchies pit.
Area of occurrence Western part of the Mons Basin.
Type locality Harchies pit (see Marlière, 1936b, 1939).
